Leeds International Medieval Congress 2014

And now, the final installment in my current conference round-up! From Monday 7th to Thursday 10th July I was in Leeds for the 2014 International Medieval Congress. I shared our work on medieval Swansea in a number of sessions, including a paper on the project as part of a strand I co-organised with Leonie Hicks (Canterbury) on 'Medieval Landscapes and Seascapes'. I also drew on my experiences in Swansea in my contribution to a roundtable on 'Borders and Boundaries in the University', organised by Kathryn Maude (KCL) and Audrey Thorstad (Leeds). I really enjoyed the conversation and hearing about the really imaginative and innovative work being undertaken by some early-career colleagues. Beoshewulf and co - looking forward to seeing you in Southampton for an Old English flash mob this autumn!
