1274 In October Edward was crowned King of England by common consent. 1275 on the third idus there was an earthquake at the hour of Prime. King Edward held his first parliament according to the statute of his coronation.
1276 War was begun between King Edward of England and Llewellyn prince of Wales, Morgan son of Morgan by grace son of lord Walter of Suyllye, by the duke’s wife.
1277 King Edward took possession of Llewellyn and all his land as far as Snowdon, and the same prince was brought to England.

1279 Richard [de Carew] bishop of St Davids died on the first day of April. The king created a new quarter coin and an obol round.
1280 Thomas Bek was made bishop of St Davids, and the king established that no religious or other who obtained land or tenements he wishes to obtain.
1281 Almost all the sheep in Glamorgan died. But this abominable pestilence still remained.
1282 Llewellyn, prince of Wales was killed on the third idus of December near Builth [Wells?]; the king seized a thirtieth from the Cistercian Order of the whole of England– a thousand marks Stirling.
1283 Daffyd ap Gruffudd was hanged on the 8th idus of October. Father Chauard died, the king constructed the castle of Aberconwy and he captured all of the castles of North Wales and entered into the Abbey of Neath and gave the abbot one beautiful vestment [Baudekyn].
1284 King Edward made a tour all over Wales with his wife [who] gave birth to her son (named Edward) in that very place.
1285 Robert le Neel, sheriff, was unjustly taken in the hands of the lord count, the land of a new grange, and the lands of Margam. Anflurs died. 1286.
1287 Rees, son of Meredith captured the castle of Dinefwr during the festival of life. And this year on the third idus of June the town of Swansea was set on fire and pillaged. And on the fifth kalends of July the castle of Oystermouth was seized and burnt.

1289 An assembly was called between the lord Gilbert Count of Gloucester and Father A[dam of Carmarthen], Abbot of Neath concerning buying back certain property.
1290 Gilbert de Clare took as a wife mistress Joanna of Acre daughter of King Edward. The Jews were expelled by the King of England. The Queen of England died and William de Briouze senior died at Findon after the festival of the birth of our Lord [i.e. Christmas]. 1291 The town of Acre was destroyed by pagans on the 18th of May.
1292 Rees son of Meredith was captured on the 4th Nones of April.
1293 Norman ships were destroyed by the English, the English had 100 ships, the Normans had 200 ships which were overthrown at Cardam near Saint Matthew in Brittany.
