Designing our pavement markers...
Together with Bright3D, who're working on interpretation of Swansea Castle, we've been exploring different design options for the series of pavement markers we'll be installing in Swansea city centre soon. These will show locations and features within the medieval town.
This image shows two draft designs we've considered: one includes a medieval figure, and the other shows a design which alludes to Swansea Castle and the story of the hanging of William Cragh.
The second image here relates strongly to Swansea's own story. But we weren't sure how clear the imagery would be when cast in metal. The first option, with the medieval head, is certainly striking and captures the imagination...
